I was planning to record some of my own samples with:

an empty milo tin can (snare/toms),
an empty Spring Valley juice glass (ride/hat),
a footstomp on the carpet (kick),
an empty plastic mizone bottle (rimsnare),
paper desk scraping (hihat/shaker)
and my electric pedestal fan casing (cymbal/ride),

but I think this is more than enough, and even better. Now I can sound like the hobo drummer in the city.
