Not as far as I know. That would be a good thing to have though. I've wanted it at least once already.can we "swap" samples ? (in order to have the drum kick on C1, even if it was the third sample to get loaded)

just trying to understand : i had a sliced audio sample on a track, i selected all my slices from one single sample, clicked "save as" in the "part" menu, it saved it.
Then i loaded the recorded XTC from the browser, i it only loaded the first slice.
Same for xtc drumtrack clips : when i loaded a xtc i made, it loaded the Ext drumsampler, but not my clip.

well,
- the drum-pattern of course gets stored, else it wouldn't be a clip but just a drum-bank (which can be saved as well) - I have no idea what you could have been doing wrong though...
- but if all those slices are NOT in the same part but each of them in a different one then of course they won't be in the saved clip as the clip is a single saved part (which can however contain a unlimited number of samples) so in order to save to snippets in one clip you havew to first glue them to combine them in one part and then save it as a clip

At the moment, i see i can move the slices inside the glued part -which is already a good stuff-, but i can't take one slice and move it to another clip.
This feature would be very usefull to make an original clip out of several clips (Live does this and i dig it !).
What is weird is that the glued part keeps the slices in memory, so it is like we aren't far from being able to move them to another track,but i can't figure out how to do... (maybe it is planned but not here yet ?)..
wow, i spend several hours today playing with Ext (and btw i learned a lot of things), and i must say i dig this new release !
With some midi mapping issues fix, native midi out & plugin version, it will rule !

I have posted this in the 'modding glued audio-clips'-thread but here it is again:
- make a unghosted copy of the part (clip) that contains the event you want to extract
- open it for editing and delete all events apart from the one you want to extract
- now you can glue this part with any other
- done

- autonbyass on internal reverb
- "edit all" option in sampler
- added option for random track color
- browser search will now use a spearate thread
- record automation from track value box
- you can now replace samples in audio pool
- preview in browser now also works with up/down keys
- dropping fx presets into mixer will now use the same name for the fx comp
- notes and drums are now colored by velocity/volume
- removed option to dock render win and controller maps (would crash)
- freeze playback out of sync after changing sample rate
- freeze would something click/pop on loop wrap, now fixed
- set buffer size could crash, now fixed

You need to setup folders for the vst plugin seperate from the stand alone.
You need to copy your licence to the vst folder too.
New MIDI out component!

Hi
This is a rather general question (not really related specifically to this beta) :
- [space] key acts like a play/pause action, which means that the cursor stops at the place where you have hit "pause" ;
- how can you set it (or does another shortkey exists) to make it go back to the place you made the playback begin (= acting like "stop" and not "pause") ?

F6 will open the setup menu then you can go to actions. transport-> rewind.
