I used to make drum sounds with my late Arp Axxe as following:
* No attack, short decay, no sustain, short release
* The ADSR has to apply to the VCO pitch, VCF cutoff and VCA level
* Mix some waveforms with noise if possible
* Play with filter settings (has to be low-pass) until satisfied (and that's the tricky part :hihi: )

i know soem basic tutorials, but i prefer to enhance or layer existing drum sounds, it sounds more convining imo and saves resources...

It may sound a little like it, but it's not. They use this kind of distorted bandpassed effect a lot with many kinds of sounds.

lol shy my english is too bad so please correct me if i'm wrong:
"distorted bandpass effect" means that u use a pulse wave, "turning left and right" the PWM knob' use bandpass filter and distortion effect?

well.. distort and bandpass is precisely what guitar amps do... :)
so put a synth sound through some guitar amp sim plug and maybe you'll hit that right sound.

i have guitar rig 2 but i don't really know which distortion to use..
my brother is using guitar rig 2 with he's guitars but he doesn't understand all that sound design stuff..
