Controller maps are currently saved with songs. As a work around, you can save a vst in XT2/1 and save that song as a controller map preset.
Midi control of the transport is still on the way.

2- it's impossible to control mute\solo and other thins with midi notes...
if i want to use notes to play i can drag a virtual cable to a vst and select a specific channel.
3- a snapshot function would be nice. so i can link cc scenes to single notes or cc. the best is to have a morph function that fades between different snapshots
4- midi feedback for modern midi controllers like bcf2000 with motor faders and led rings. a specific midi out could be associated to a midi input (setup \ midi)when such a controller is used
5- is it possible to add inertia to some controllers? it's very useful for filters.
6- the midi out can't be addressed to any device! why?

thanks

Set M.Ch to "None"

Currently the values are, "All" and 01-16.

Setting this to "None" will prevent all MIDI (notes and CC) getting to the VST, but automation (MIDI CC to VST parameters) would still work.

This way, VSTs that do not receive MIDI can be supported.

Minimise/Restore VST Window

it would be handy to minimise an open VST window to the task bar; currently you have to close them or move them out of the way.

An "A/B" and a "copy" button for comparing setting in whatever VST (chorus, reverb..). Many EQs and compressors have it, but it would be even cooler to have it on every plugin, even synths.

well, I hope I'm at the right place for my proposal :)

main menu > tools > vst manager

I think it's a cool idea to have something like this. but first, let me elaborate.
a vst manager would be a cool addition to ext2. apart from simply adding vst directories which can browsed by the ... browser, a dedicated integrated tool for managing vst instruments and effects would be awesome.
basically, it's just a simple, small database. vsts are added by scanning the given directories and separated into instruments and effects. furthermore, there is some metadata eg instrument/effect type (additive, hybrid, etc/ delay, filter, reverb, etc -> combo box maybe?), developer (+ homepage url), version and a rating mechanism. in this vst manager you can activate (green bullet) and deactivate plugins (red bullet), plus an extra status:
"!": the plugin crashed or caused some other problems
"?": plugin has been moved, deleted or renamed (a certain project should "tell" the manager if a plugin couldn't be found)

also, you can create and access user banks, save banks (for backup etc). that said, it seems useful to be able to open a plugin and create presets/banks without creating a certain project. standard midi maps could also be stored (or maybe more than one, imagine you have your studio setup and you live setup with different devices) and even recalled on running projects (CC will be changed, even automation data will receive the new midi mapping).
well there are quite a lot of things I think of that seem productive. one nice feature might be list of favourite plugins, which is conducted by saving a project: every vst that's used will receive a countuse++
different custom lists of plugins can be cool too, eg a list with cpu+ram saving vst, or vst lists for different genres or stages in production (abstract, fun, master, etc)

well, I hope you get the idea. maybe I can draw some sort of picture (not good at it though) for a better understanding.
feedback, criticism etc are appreciated

Is there a way to cc control the vst wrapper's options i.e. preset of the vst and midichannel? How is this done if so? Could this be implimented in an update if not?
