This is not another "Rompler" this is a synth in itself with all analog oscilators coming from:

The only digital synth that got a look in was the digital/analog Hybrid the Ensoniq Esq-1.

It certainly looks like it would suit your music from looking at your web page :) I wanted to keep the dirt and grit of analogs but with a moderrn slant on the programing. Where possible I've kept the real filter of the synths using velocity or mod wheel to sample start. It's suited to the electronic genre and there is not one filler in any of the presets. It's designed for making your own presets, but the 790 I've included are pretty damn good he he.

Um, didn't Zero G have a falling out with NI? Which is why their old Kontakt player linked libraries are starting to be offered as downloads, instead of updating any new material to K2? :?
Not that I know of, but this is based on the Kontakt 2 engine. It wouldn't have been possible on the old kontakt 1 engine.

Hmmm, yes but what happens when these samples get played like a real analog synth in mono legato mode with large pitch sweeps. Or maybe bend the sound one or two octs up with the pitch wheel ! Does these samples then still sound clean and aliasing free !! i dont think...

Well, I've covered that as best I could.... by selecting the high quality setting for resampling. It uses more power when normally transposing a sample, but as I've multisampled completly it only ever gets put into action when playing legato.

It's also about $10,000 cheaper, no need for midi to cv convertors and you can have as many as your pc can handle playing sample accurately :)

I hear you though, I to love the playbility of real analog synths as well, and it was a hurdle that I agree needed to be dealt with as best as is possible. That's why I've done my best to keep this library as playable as possible. It really does have a lot of flexibility in both playability and sound design :) I know I'm biased, but I'm also amazingly anal when it comes to making presets. This whole project was not done lightly.

What about Synth anthology from Ultimate sound bank? I believe that contains a shed load of sampled analog (and digital) synths.

For some sounds (drums, basses,..) I actually rather use samples of analogs instead of the real thing. IMO the sound is more 'focused' and has more attack in the lows when the phase of all the notes is the same.

Sam, wow, just had a listen and I'm impressed ! 8) Just what I was looking for : vintage analog sounds with lots of attitude and character. Hope Zero-G will release it soon !
