I think there are plenty of sampled basses out there that extensively cover a single bass tone. With ManyBass I wanted users to have a lot of variety to choose from, since a single bass tone is not always suitable for many genres and styles of music. Therefore I aimed at finding a medium between the detail of soundsets and the quantity of tones--trying not to sacrifice either, and keeping it at a realistic filesize.

Hi HannesHannes_F wrote:Paul, manytone wrote:ManyBass will load all Wusik format soundsets and Dash soundsets. Also we have a free mapper available to all customers that will allow you to easily use your own wave files and samples in ManyBass. But, ManyBass does not load as a VST effect so you cannot run your other synths through it. Once you have your own samples mapped for ManyBass they can run through the Amps and FX etc.Hannes_F wrote:Can the amp models of ManyBass be used with other sounds?

this is great. I have the ManyBass and while I am very very happy with the sounds themselves I sometimes would like to have slightly more velocity layers, so loading other bass samples might be worth a try.
Where can I find the mapper?
Hannes
The ManyMapper is in the ManyTone FreeZone. All users were sent a secret access to get to this page with all our freebees. Just email me your order details if you did not receive it. (Spam boxes like to eat this mail)

Yes, and I think it is excellent. Especially the Growl patches have a lot of character. At the same time this is where I would like to have some more layers in the louder range where it snarls sometimes because everything that has a personal character will be more easily recognized when it repeats.Gregjazz wrote:I think there are plenty of sampled basses out there that extensively cover a single bass tone. If that would possible I would not look much further.

I totally agree with pettinhouse. At least try the free version of DirectBass.
