Hello,
I've not checked in depth your software.
I will try to describe witch features i would to see into this kind of tool.
i've tried all free software available and i build many knob essentially for SynthEdit.

- import directory or selected file (option/sort/inverse)
- .PNG import with transparency/alpha management
- input path AND output path can be different and memorized
- many layers (sensitive zone (alpha #000000 1%) shadow + ring/number + background +
knob + cap + pointer + hi-spot (reflect))
- a cross to adjust center (with arrow from keyboard)


I have certainly forgot something, but maybe this can help you for inspiration.
I hope you'll understand my 'special' english :)

Thanks, this little tool is beginning to look good, color controls (love the Hue control), zoom, offset works excellent ... :)

I have not been able to figure out the "intelligentAlpha" setting yet ...

4 or 5 layers would be very handy ... :D

Yes, PLEASE .png with alpha-transparency for import AND export ... :love:

In this version,
* upto 6 layers supported
* .png/.jpg/.gif import supported

** export .png is also possible, but the alpha information will set to all opaque. yes it's a problem, I know, wait....

About IntelligentAlpha
Simply said...
IntelliAlpha will try to re-build alpha information from non-alpha layered bitmaps (not only the 1st-pix color will be transparent, but also similar colors are gradated).

i found this thread a day before the dc07 deadline when i suddenly real;ised i needed to do about 10 knobs! :-o
knobman refreshed the pngs other knobmakers couldn't reach. :hail: :hail: :hail:

i'm still working for the KnobMan improvement.

i would like to make knobman can handle not only imported images, but also built-in primitives (e.g. line, circle, sphere,...)

it will takes a little more time.... :)

Thanks... I'll try it out. I've never been totally happy with any "knobmakers." I think I like Tobybear's AniMan the best.

KnobMan 0.9 updated :)

in this version, the UI may be a little complicated. but almost same behavior if you set the each 'Primitive' type set to 'Image'.

* Layers - upto 10 layers supported.
* Primitives - image, circle, circlefill, sphere,... you can set a primitive to each layer.
* Mask - Rotation mask supported. it may used for expansive scale line (look at sample1 or sample2).
* of course the .png export with alpha is supported.
* project file load/save (maybe slow to need improve)

just tested it and the transparency in the png export is wicked!!! :hail:
(the only thing i thought it missed was the 'from' and 'to' labels,which made it very clear for newbies.but trivial really.
