parallels lets you run WinXP or XP programs on OS X while still running OS X. Bootcamp is a bootloader for your mac - it lets you decide which OS to load into - OS X or XP. I prefer Parallels, just because I don't have to reboot all the time.

yeah i remember i was interested back in the day in that one too but judging from the specs it just *had* to suck for audio...

anyway, fully agree about everything you said. live laptop = warranty. no doubt about that regardless which manufacturer.
