As I've said, I went to see the show with Simon Collins (Phil's son) who some of you may know I did a tribute with to Genesis recently doing a cover of the song "Keep It Dark" (still available as a free download from http://www.keepitdark.net - get it while you can! That site will not be there forever).
I met Simon during Genesis rehearsals in New York and we became instant pals. Now the same time the following year we're watching the Genesis live show they were preparing for and having our own private celebration over new deals in the US for his album that we're working on together. It's also one that has some pictures and now video to check out for those that are interested. It's been fun sharing a rare glimpse and unusual stories relating one of my favorite bands growing up.
So, for your enjoyment, here is some footage shot on a little camera featuring Simon watching his dad play the Drum Duet/Los Endos both in rehearsal and then from the side of the stage behind Phil's kit live at Giants Stadium. Simon said that this is a tradition for him to be sitting behind his dad while he's played Drum Duets on tour and since I was there with him at rehearsal to see it myself from this point of view he wanted me to come with him to see it live at the show in NJ as well. The excitement being that close and hearing the drums acoustically as they play on stage was incredible. You can also see Tony from Phil's perspective. Check it out:
There's also another video clip of Los Endos where you can see the smoke coming from behind the stage. It was so bizarre to be right there and smoke filling up underneath you.
If you check back at we'll be posting some behind the scenes at The Farm with Nick Davis mixing Mama in 5.1 for a sec and we've already posted a bunch of videos behind the scenes at Ocean Way Studios, The Who concert and we'll be doing more so if you like this kind of stuff visit there too! Don't forget there's also blogs and pics on our myspace page www.myspace.com/sonicreality Pics of Tears for Fears, Rush and other bands rehearsing or playing live... enjoy!

Hi Squids, thanks for your reports, really interesting as usual from you! I saw Genesis here in Rome this summer, 10 meters distant from the stage, 50 people in front of me and 500.000 over my shoulders! Fantastic show, the best i've ever seen (Tony's mistakes on ITC medley and whole band timing out on Firth of Fifth included!). Anyway, here in Italy, the first country to tribute their success to Gabriel and co. since from 1970, we're all waiting for a 5 man pieces reunion...Having spent so much time with them there in NYC and LA, what do you really think they will do, about an incoming Lamb Tour or the like?
Ciao!
Paolo.

I personally think they will eventually get all 5 together for a few gigs doing The Lamb. But I have no inside infoto prove it. I just think it would make sense for them to do it.
