Impressive - I like these samples a lot and they compare very favorably with some expensive commercial libraries I've used. Some very interesting sounds there and the audio quality is excellent. Sure I will find a use for this lot somewhere so thanks very much. I assume the Absynth patches will work in the demo so I might have to download a copy and try them out. Last time I tinkered with Absynth I wasn't really that blown away but these samples are so interesting another look might be worthwhile.

Hi,

Glad you guys like this collection of sounds - there's some great work from both Tim and Col (Biomechanoid) in there. BTW. These sounds are mono, but in the full Absynth sets, there are stereo versions.

We actually put this collection together as we're running a tune writing competition. So if you are inspired to write something with these samples, head over here and take a look and you could win some other Camel goodies:

Thanks for these samples gentlemen! Am I being really stupid as usual but Absynth 3 doesn't read loop points in a sample?

Glad to hear you're liking these samples. Col + Tim are always interested to get feedback, so if you have any comments do drop by the Camel forum.

I'm afraid I don't know one way or the other. If you ask over on our forum, I imagine Tim or Col will inform you. I'm not totally sure why you're asking, and maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick - but if you're loading these samples into Absynth, I highly recommend downloading the associated free Absynth presets (Biolabs 1-3 and 4-6 are Absynth 3 compatible).

Whilst I'm on the subject of possible misaprhensions, I'd like to point out the full Absynth banks come with lots more sample material. In fact, all three banks have a grand total of 880MB of samples of the same kind of quality - so if you're really into these kinds of samples, you might want to buy the banks for the samples alone.

Oh, and at the risk of nagging, come along to the Camel forum and check out the comp we're running - you know you want to :)

Yeah..I don't think it does. It just reads the sample, and you can adjust start points for it, and I think thats it!

But as Ben said, if you have the AB, you want to download the actual demo files for those sets. Info about that on the first page of this thread, as I had to clarify that for a poster.

Wow that's kind of suprising at version 3 Absynth doesn't even read loop points. I've had the Bio demo presets for some time.

Hello back was working on a tune which features one of the sample of this collection ...
You may not transfer, rent, lease, resell, distribute, network or transmit the SAMPLES nor any works derived from these SAMPLES.
Which means i can not sell a song made with one of these samples so , how do I clear the samples ?

You have to manually enter the End and Beginning loop points in Absynth, under the Mod menus using Loop edit....

If you have ESC open at the same time this is very easy to do, as ESC will show you the values for the Beginning and Ending loop ponts... :D

Maybe the license could be clarified a bit. You're welcome to use the samples in your songs - no problem. The thing you can't do is use any of the sounds, or sounds derived from them in other sample packs.

Ok i had a doubt because a song itself could have been considered as a derived work , thanks for the clarification !
