AKG K-240's are great. They sound very good, they are very comfortable, the pads last a very long time, and the things are very sturdy. For a serious studio, they're worth the price. For personal listening too... I have a pair of old AKG K270's that I use at work on my minidisc player.
For a budget studio... there's probably better places you could spend the $1000 for 8 sets of the 240s.
Have a look at the MoreMe headphones. They're cheap, sturdy, good isolation, and they have an insanely good warranty/replacement policy. Did I mention that they're cheap?
I have no relationship with the supplier or his dealers, I just think they're a good choice for a budget studio that needs alot of headphones.
