Can SS sounds be used in ST?

Yup, that's how I set mine up and I rarely add new sounds, which is why I didn't think of that drawback.

You can also use the different apps to browse to different areas of hard drives or completely different hard drives. So it isn't just the aesthetics. Good point brought up about the relist load times as well.

That said, a lot of times I too just run ST2.5 (and especially now with the improved effects system - until the others are updated with some of those features)
