Vocaloid Prima? Why?

Good for oohs and aahs, lousy word beginnings as always, and tuned only for high pitches so sounds little like real voice at low pitch. I'm disappointed yet again, still waiting for a good implementation. I'm sure the Vocaloid 2 synthesis can provide much better results than that, I'd just like a company that specializes in more than plain sampling (which I think they're not that good at either) to have something.

I keep hoping. This is not a bad voice, assuming you write songs with lyrics that consist only of drawn-out vowels.

Can't someone who understands plosives, fricatives, etc. get a license and program some 'b', 'c', 'd', 'p', 'f' 't', etc sounds into the damned thing? How many people have to say this? This speech impediment, moutha fulla gum thing is becoming stupid...

The best vocaloid I heard (mp3 demos or users works) is Vocaloid2 Hatsune Miku.
Shame that it's a childish voice lol.

Vocaloid remains to this day the only product that prompted my to E-mail the vendors to express just how shit I thought it was. "Metal Mickey on karaoke night" I think were the chosen words...

I'm not normally snide enough to do such a thing, but having tried the demo (which at the time only allowed the use of about three words) and given how expensive it was to buy, they deserved it. I was quite excited about the product but would advise anyone to spend the money on singing lessons.
