Those were done by jackle&hyde/useruseruser/etc (dude had about thirty screen names, damned if I can remember them all). Was he !j? I was never quite sure.

I miss j&h around here though, he always put in a good fight.

in my opinion, yes - all the same c++ coding genius.

WTF!?!
it's his right after all - he made them, he is fully entitled to decide if and in which way they are distributed.

are they even any good?

no, long since been surpassed by many other synths.

It's really a shame. Klangformer was excellent and with implementation of everything he had planned, would have been a total knockout. Plus you could use it for free, as long as you weren't making money on your music. Closest thing to a Virus emu around. It was supposed to load Virus .syx, but I could never get it to.

True though I liked aspects of it and it was never finished anyway. Maybe the final version would have improved it there too.

I wish he'd completed the Virus patch import feature.

(1) The Developer is Dead (2) There not Cracked or Hacked there discontinued Freeware. If I was an Asshole I would just have posted a link right in the forum rather than asking for people to PM Me if they are looking for them.WTF!

No he's alive and kicking. Even if he was dead, his creations remain copyrighted until 70 years after the day he swapped the temporal for the eternal.

... which doesn't make unauthorised distribution legal! However you twist it, it's copyright infringement. The fact that nobody loses any money on it is legally irrelevant.
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :borg:

The developer is dead, yes? And form where have you got that intelligence, if I may ask? Is it a fact, or is it a mere rumour you picked up in some internet-forum?

Let's have a look at the official page, shall we?:
Our VST synthesizer product line is mainly distributed with German books about
Virtual Studio Technology software and plugins. You cant download it any longer.
http://klangformer.de/

Fact is, with your offer to pm the synths you blatantly broke the KVR-rules.

There was an Official Unsubstantiated Rumour ± 2 years ago on this very site.

...as i posted above:

- active mp3.de music account (last uploads mid/end 2007)
- active klangformer.de homepage (webhosting contract)
- active musiccreation (look mp3 tags of his singles: all done in 2007)

fact is:

jason has been attacked by some tontos
in childish discussions and lost the fun to develop and/or offer more freebies.

result is:

no more freewares/betas from jdev for us.

:?

...i'm now listening to !jason's song "NO WAY BACK" dated 2007...
