but where did it come from? Was it really from Europe?eduardo_b wrote:Actually, the software did make it here in four days. I have no idea how given how modest the shipping was.four days still seems to be more than optimistic to me if they need to send it from here*...
I'd have thought it would be simple enough to send a few cases over here. Unless they're not selling that many and aren't as motivated....I think the problem could be that Wibu appears to have only one single distributor in the whole of America ( http://www.wibu.us/ ).
I don't know what kind of distributor this is - perhaps not much more than a mail box - it appear they don't even have telephone - the only number they give on the website is a German one...
...so in the light of all this I guess they really aren't selling more than just a few of those dongles on your side of the pond.

they use CodeMeter as far as I'm aware of - do not YellowTools use WibuKey instead? (same company, different product)Hink wrote:this is the us distributer of samp http://www.orangehillaudio.com/pricelist.html they might have one

that's great news then - I'd like to know with what company they're shipping with - with the Deutsche Post (ex- national mail/monopolist) an express package would cost a fortune...eduardo_b wrote:It looked like it, and had the same address: Printzstrasse 4 76139 Karlsruhe Germanybut where did it come from? nope, CodeMeter is a product by Wibu, just as WibuKey is (that's what I meant when I wrote 'same company, different product').

which is kind of strange because samplitude 10 ships with yellow tools Independence le. Usually I would assume the intent would be to upgrade to the full independence which uses wibukey I guess, so I have to wonder if they might share some things or be interchangeablejens wrote:nope, CodeMeter is a product by Wibu, just as WibuKey is (that's what I meant when I wrote 'same company, different product').

Yes, I'm wondering the same thing - both are based on the same technology, according to Wibu.

one cool thing is codemeter can run on a network, doesn't matter much to me though. But for some that might be cool
