okay, here's the breakdown.

loaded the plugin into an FX chain in Reaper.
using the Samplefusion/Select Preset button/drop-down, I'm able to load a preset.

the next time I click on the Samplefusion/Select Preset button, it crashes, and takes Reaper down with it.

I got the download manager to d/l a few new presets, though there was some "restarts" required, so we can leave that issue for now.

any thoughts? anyone else able to reproduce?

Is there a way to demo this without the player limitation, I want to try and import my sounds to see if this will work ok but the demo won't let me

I think Directwave v1.4.1 crashes my cubase 4.1.3. I'm on xp sp2 2 gig, dualcore with RME Multiface (ASIO).

I'm just looping some audio and midi in cubase (2 bars) and suddenly the loop keeps repeating itself and cubase stops responding. You can hear a small piece of the loop repeating itself. I have had it serveral times and I removed directwave and the project keeps running. Then, just to be sure I added Directwave again, loaded a hihat sample and the problem comes back. I've tried different samples but that doesn't change a thing.

The problem does not occure right away. But within ten minutes it did happen again.

I'll hope that this info is a littlebit helpfull.

Do you do anything specific in DW that makes this happen? For example, does it also happen when you just load DW without doing anything else? Do you open the downloader window, or not? ...

I can't reproduce this here. Does this happen if you don't actually download anything, but just select already downloaded kits?

reflex sucks.

image-line sucks.

how many years have gone by? how many new products have image-line developed without fixing this worthless software? and how many users got ripped off by purchasing directwave under false advertising.

i want my money back. it's been years and i've never been able to use directwave as advertised. NEVER. I WANT MY FRIGGIN' MONEY BACK.

there. i feel better now. i do this once a year to help me feel better about being ripped off by this cheating, stealing company.

anyone who buys directwave at this point is a complete moron.
