When loading a loop into loop1 and set the sensitivity hard left the loop won't play back properly.

The selection in the loop window (where the loop itself is displayed) looks like a "fade out" to the right.

PETER, just load a loop, sensitivity to hard left and see what's happening.

Please disable the pop-up when changing the sens - it's not neccessary - or make it optional.

With my understanding I'll mainly work with one slice. Also because the FXs are modulated in time!!!!

I guess you supposed to design it for several slices, but it should also work properly with only one.

RMV rocks!!!

Yup. Something is not right in such scenario :?

I'm afraid, that "popup" will have to stay. When changing sensitivity, every
slice settings (volume, pan, filters, fx, etc...) for every slice, are being reset (it's a limitation that we can't skip at this point). So to prevent accidental reseting, we've put such a tiny safety mechanism 8) I think this idea has more positive than negative sides ;)

O.K. I agree!

I hope you'll soon find a solution with the "only one slice"-issue.

Thanks a lot

Here is the minidump SONAR 8 produced after crashing while opening a project with RMV in it.

Although the performance problems are very user specific (I not say you have a wrong or bad setp, just that there seem very few relation to the overall computer speed), we think we have a solution to at least speed up the startup performance by factor 2 with version 5.0.3. This means its about 3..4 seconds for most people and ... well, just take the half of what you have now. Maybe we can squeeze out more, thats just what currently seems to work.

I'm still experiencing occasional crashes loading projects with RMV 5.02 in SONAR 8.0.1; SONAR reports RMV.dll as crash location.

I can submit new minidumps if needed, but I wonder if this problem is being considered, given the zero feedback on my previous post on this...

And I still have problems loading the kit "thehump" in 5.02: a sample with path "C:\usr...." is looked for. Strange, given the fact that I installed the samples under drive L:\... and the C:\usr path doesn't exist at all in my system...

Should I redownload and install again the library?

Thanks,
Mario

i use flstudio8 vista quad2.4 3gb system
when i try to use the send effects RMV crashes. this is displayed in the top left display on flstudio. any ideas ? it happens every time. cheers.

Mario,
I cannot reproduce this here. Here all works fine, so I'm currently not able to work on this bug (both song loading problem as well as kit loading problem).

thepest, what version of FLSTudio8 and RMV you are at ? Its working nice here so far. Maybe I need a stepy by step instruction to reproduce it.

Awfull :-) Consider it fixed with version 5.0.3 which should come around end of the month.

Well, if you anyway want not to slice it, its more efficient in many aspects to just load the loop into a pad (using the sample generator).

Peter,

try rescanning repeatedly RMV with SONAR 8 (probably 7 too), be sure to set the "scan existing plugin" VST scanner flag to make RMV be rescanned each time; sometimes it gives error on "Open", I bet it's the same thing that occasionally crashes SONAR opening a project with RMV in it.

About the kit loading error, do you think I should redownload the library (I'm still using the one that was made available at the time of 5.0 beta)?

First of all I got to say I love RMV, Awesome bit of software!

Here are a bugs/issues I have found:

-HP24 does not work, it seems pan or filter only the L or R channel

-The slicer sometimes lets you change the slice end point without changing
the next slices start point, other times it does not.

-It would be really handy to be able to shift-click slices to select multiple slices and then add then to a group.

-Also a K, S, H group selection option would good and the ability to manually set the K, S, H labels your self.

Cheers,

Chris

Good idea, will do some repeated scans, I know I once saw a problem there too, maybe I'll catch it this way.

About the kits, not sure, we updated the library once, but that was only a cleanup (some kist loaded unnessesary data); I dont think this will do the job ... however, I have no clue whats going on at all. Maybe there was a fault in the install data that was not detected and now causes such behaviour.

Post

Chris, thanks a lot. The HP 24 will be fixed in version 502 as well. About the multiple slice selection, try the menu right of the slice selector, it allows you to pick in example "group 3" and successively add all slices with a single click to that group. This is quick and not stresses your Shift key ;-)

About that Start/End not correlating, can you name a loop where this happens, we've not seen this before, usually they seem to be pretty in line. What happens is that sometimes the End is a bit shifted from the (automatically or manually) selected position to avoid clicks.

Post

Thanks Peter, will try that with Group selection.

The start/end issue is happening with loops I've imported as .wav files (not played much with the internal library) I would like very much to be able to edit the end points of slices when editing a loop if only to clean things up a bit and leave the envelopes free for shaping.

Cheers.

Chris.
