J do own a lot of VSTi's and J do know how to use them up to 99% and because of that J see that the biggest part on the market is pretty the same thing (now J talking about soft synth not emulators or some experemental software) there is few well knowing companys like NI or Spectrasonics that do real masterpiece in about ewery product, beside of them there is not much others and synths like Helix is sadly wery rare thing. It's just 100% pure power.
J had this synth for a while and only now J start to see real potential in this parameter-modulation-monster. J'm wery wery pitty about soft synth but this one truly blow my away J'm sooo excated that J decide to share my impression and thouths about Helix. And whith full responcebility J can say - it's totaly doubt free must have soft synth. Audjoo Helix and u-he Zebra2 is two winning synths, done by genius allocated among others. And here is what J'm wondering about; here is wonderfull synth done by one man, how come that teams with sometimes 5-6 people can't make anything that can be placed even close to Helix? Should they do somethin else? Probably, to free up space for talented developers, like Jonas Norberg and he is wery talented, oh, he is! J never thouth that J would see some more independed developer of such quality after Zebra2, but J did, what a surprise!
Hands up for Jonas Norberg and his Helix
And lastly: people do not even doubt to at least trying Helix

Jonas has probably heard this question a thousand times over by now, but, i must ask, as i'm a left-in-the-cold Logic user:
is AU support planned? or will Helix be VST-i only forever?
i'm not very keen on having to run the synth through an AU wrapper, which seems kind of dodgy to me, aside from the added expense. although i guess the FXpansion crew are happy with this.
otherwise, the synth sounds great, and seems to be very inspiring (although that damned ringmod in the demo version is rather annoying), and i really like the big edit slider in the middle - makes for easy fine-tuning. spot-on synth, pity about the mono-format.
cheers,
Paul.
