You can't even pay extra for it. They decide which select people are allowed to use it, and they're only allowed to use it to design sounds for REFX.

I agree. There are other excellent sample-based synths out there that have VA-type oscillator sections available to the user. Chronox/Sophistry by LinPlug comes to mind as an excellent value, as does Alchemy (when it comes out). Omnisphere is more expensive and much hyped, but it really is a wonderful-sounding synth with quite a few options (it, like Nexus, misses on the "read your own samples" category though, which is not the case for Chronox/Sophistry and Alchemy).
