Just to note one more thing that might be not obvious at first glance: in the example above the hard-sync case for the sine is not a necessity to get acceptable results. This means that if master and slave have the same frequency then again the inharmonic components will be attenuated by what the master (BLIT) interpolator suggests resulting in kindof "cleaning" the crappy oscillator from inharmonic components. So it is actually like a harmonic wrapper for any signal generator, something that the pseudo-C++ code in the article was hoping to demonstrate in an almost ready to use way.
