The song on my Tokyo Robot Gangster MySpace page was made with an Alpha version of Strobe for every synth except the 303 type sound during the verses.

sorry for the bad sound quality, but I currently don't have a better version HD crash and all.

I'm going to remake it completely with Fusor synths and a much better mix, probably this weekend.

Let me say this: If you want electro Strobe has it in spades.

I'm excited by the concept - I really like the idea of accurately modelled analog VA - and I hope that this really is the "evolutionary leap" they say it is.

That said listening to the mp3's at the synthsquad site I was just a tiny bit underwhelmed. Obviously they are just mp3's, and I do wish that they included a whole bunch of short single patch demonstrations, rather than these tracks full of competing sounds, distracting percussion and the inevitable dance/tarnce/electro cliches.

hakey - thanks for the feedback. It's unfortunately difficult to please everyone with demo sounds. We were struggling to decide between single patch demos and sketch-type pieces, and in the end we decided that sketches would be more interesting for most people to listen to.

We didn't want to overload the www.synthsquad.com microsite with too many audio demos either. On the main product page on our website which is coming soon, we will have a lot more audio demos including single patch demos.

You definitely won't be disappointed with the sound of the synths.

Quite a long listen but it showcases the synths well as apart from the obvious guitars/vocals and drums all the synth parts , basses , leads , pads , sound effects are the new synths.

As an aside it also demonstrates the awesomeness imo of Guru which was used for all the drums/percussion.

There are some more stripped back demos being uploaded as we speak.

You've got some odd complaints, dude. Moar shiny toys, gotta have them. Before anyone else preferably.

It's not a complaint, it's a suggestion. When did I ever say I had to have something before anyone else?

You're right, some do, some don't, and if someone is willing to pay in advance to beta test I just see an added bonus...

Great, really looking forward to hearing them.

And, obviously it would be verging on the impossible to please all tastes with demo tracks, but the kind of thing that I find really useful is something like the "Lots of single sounds Science Demo" that Howard Scarr did for his Zebra soundset. That kind of thing really helps me get a feel for the capabilities, sonic spectrum and over all tone of a synth.

(Sorry, I didn't mean to sound negative in my first post - been anticipating the release of this for long while now, and I am excited by the concept)

What does the XT2 drama have to do with BETA testing? People didn't really start bitching until the official release came out and it was a buggy pile of crap that didn't have half of the features that were promised.
