.. me at NAMM?

i'm sitting here in my chair, farting as ever .. :)

anyway, the times to expect Logic still being state-of-the-art are gone. i wouldn't even hold my breath for a tiny little 8.0.3 update. Apple messed it all up, that's what i think. Logic should have never gotten into their hands.

you see? i'm farting .. ;)

your question is answered.

apple really ruined Logic :( :( :( ..
They don't care about their professional software..All they care is about to sell more, and make us use their shinny, pretty stuff more and more..Now they want to attract more begginers with GB09 and that's ok (it's politics of company) but they forgot their professional users..

I think we won't get 8.0.3 at all, and I hope Logic 9 will be released after launch of Snow Leopard..

Now Cubase 5 raised bars high and there is nothing that Logic have that Cubase 5 don't.
It's really sad move from apple..I hope they will wakeup soon, or they will seriously screw up.. :help:

so it's a competition for you ?

.. substitute 'competition' with 'evolution'.

others move on, as they're sedulously working on stuff trying to get their products further. now tell me if you see this with Logic?

if Logic wouldn't have this modern and beautiful look it'd be a case for the dinosaur-museum already. the look is what still keeps it from being totally outdated.

Post

putte, make a list of what you think logic should have and please post it here, and to apple, and on the apple suggestions page.

.. beside all the moaning i did suggest things. be it about bugs or new features. and so do others. problem is that nothing happens though. it's not really fun trying to communicate with a company that simply doesn't communicate. and after all these years i simply didn't see any impact based on users suggestions.

i'd wish someone would come along buying out the Logic devs. Apple isn't a good home for those people, me thinks. well, Markus Fritze recently said that all the ex-Emagic people are still at Apple, so maybe they're happy indeed working there.

but if so i'd guess they're not working on Logic, but on other things instead. because IF they'd work on Logic - shouldn't we eventually see what they're working on, after all those years?

but yes, they're probably working on something really huuuuuge .. :hihi:

I would still like to see a list of what you want to see.

no, really?
never heard that.. is that BRAND NEW information?

the way I see it, it's impossible to speculate what the program would have evolved into if it was still Emagic. For all we know, the current Logic could have been it. But it would probably have been £700 more expensive and not contain extras like Mainstage and Soundtrack Pro. And we'd still be paying top dollar for things like convolution reverbs and instruments too because it never looked like we were going to get them for free from Emagic.

So what Apple really gave us is a top class sequencer PLUS many many extras for very little money.. and I thank them for it.
you see? i'm farting .. ;)
you didn't have to write that, it's was clear to see to everyone reading the previous sentences

.. i'd happily pay double the price again IF they'd focus on the sequencer itself, as that's Logic for me. i personally don't care for all the content coming with Logic. i don't use Soundtrack Pro, Waveburner and Mainstage. i also don't care for the Appleloops. i started working with Logic as my main and only sequencer 13 years ago. this is where i want to see bugfixes as well as new features, going with the time.

.. i just wanted emphasize my farting. not everybody knows what a lame bugger i am .. :)

I'm not a fanboy.. I just stopped complaining and started appreciating what I've got

putte, while making your logic wish list can you also make a bug list so i can try and reproduce them ?

I have asked for this before but never got a reply.

Im guessing i've opened a can of worms here.

I too was comparing it a little to cubase 5. However I also wonder if C5 can do the one thing i actually care about it to do.

Get ready for it.......... (Sidechaining with 3rd party plugins ) << here comes some opinions of me :hihi:
