Is that a nice and rich chocolate cheese cake with melting caramel? If so, I can edit my post and we can both pretend it never happened :P

Post

To be fair it was an imaginary cake.

I didn't actually inveRt a new genre, I was just taking the piss (as they say). Thanks for listening though. :)

You mean as another contribution to my project ?
There is nothing to be said against it :)
But that wasn't my intention .. just the reversed way (Set Music To Paintings), which isn't that easy ! ;-)

Very nice Justin.. Great Sub bass lines. What did you use for the bass? Did you process the gitter with your modular?

Looks like I'm late to the party. Image
There is so much to be said for how awesome this is, that I will just keep it simple and say i agree with all of the above statements and say:

This Is Bad Ass

p.s. Listened on my monitors and it tickled my ears and loosened the congestion in my chest.

Post

let's talk about how good the drums and bass sound on this.

what'd you use for the drum sounds?

Here is the run down...

Main drum part: E-MU XL7 > Modular (Polivoks filter, wave shaper, BBD, 4pole LPF, etc.) > URS CSP > ApEQ
Glitched drums: Same as above > FilterFreak > MFM2
Other Drum parts: Transfuser > Smack! > Filterfreak > AirEQ
Drum bus: Sonalksis Multi Limiter
Bleepy synth lead: (Massive > FilterFreak > Echoboy > SV-315mk2) > through Kore 2 for morphing
Bass: Zebra (check out the "Kitty Litter" patch in the patch bank I did) > Volcano2 > (parallel to volcano) FilterFreak > Runciter SV-315mk2
Lead Gtr: gtr (LP) > Crate V18 amp > SM57+Shure BG 4.1+Pre-amp out > sound card (direct out) > Evolver > sound card > URS CSP > Echo Boy
ebow gtr: gtr > amp > mics > sound card (direct out) > modular > sound card > URS CSP > Echo Boy
Rhythm gtr: gtr > amp > mics > soundcard > URS CSP > FilterFreak
Atmospheric back ground: Soniccouture Bowed Piano > MFM2 > Runciter > FilterFreak> Echo Boy

Verb send 1: TL space (some room)
Verb send 2 (for GTRs): AIR Reverb (some hall)

Master: Vintage Warmer > Sonalksis Stereo tools > Flux Pure Limiter

:)

It has a great Tangerine Dream feel. Just Excellent!

Actually, it reminded me of this right away. Like it would fit right in. There's not much cooler than that. Hope you don't mind the comparison. You shouldn't, it's a pretty big compliment coming from me.
