Mine arrived today via Esoundz and Squids. Can't wait to hook this baby up. I really need a midi controller for guitar parts. Will beat the heck out of manually adding them later.

Please let us know how you are liking it! I always like hearing stories from actual end users.

Its really nice to see an IK presence here.Andrew Bach IK wrote:Please let us know how you are liking it! I always like hearing stories from actual end users.
Only major issue so far, is drop outs and clicks. and for me that is major. I tried all different buffer sizes, with very similar results. At the highest setting which puts me at 21 ms latency it seems to be ok, but that is too much latency by my standard.
Like I say, I have not had much time with it yet, so I'll check the manual and see if i can get it worked out, but my pc specs should be more than adequate to achieve decent latency.
Of course, any suggestions or help is always appreciated.
Cheers

Could you let me know the specs of your system, what DAW you are using, etc? Any and all details would be appreciated.NTR wrote:Its really nice to see an IK presence here.Andrew Bach IK wrote:Please let us know how you are liking it! Wow that sucks, hopefully they can iron that out. On my modest (first-gen circa 2006) MacBook Pro I can slam it down to the lowerst buffer size and rip away with not a glitch. So far I'm very happy with this.

I picked up mine today from a local retailer and I'm of two minds.
On the good side, the construction is excellent. Rugged, smooth action, very nice indeed. I cannot fault the sound, either.
On the other hand, when using the default rate of 144 samples I get a click in the audio - one short click - every thirty seconds or so. I'm using X-gear in standalone mode.
If I go to the next level it goes away, but I find 14ms round trip latency to be distracting.
I'm using an Asus P5B with Intel Q6600 Core 2 Quad 2.4Ggz, 8GB ram, minimal install for DAW, antivirus disabled, XP Pro (32-bit, only uses <3GB ram, I know).
I have no problem getting much lower latency on my other interface, a Tascam FW1082. I'm hoping perhaps a driver update in the near future will tighten up the performance.
On the software side I wish X-Gear would allow me to take input and midi from the StealthPedal, and output the audio to my Tascam ASIO, since it's already wired into my speaker setup.
If I can get past the latency issue I'll love this thing. It's really nice.

I must be very ignorant.
I have installed the drivers and the software, the green light is ON, but when I run the Windows Setup Program for the STEALTH, it won't let me choose either ASIO for STREAMING or ASIO (the other one). I click the box but it won't click. As a result, it won't show up in my HOST as one of the audio options (outputs or inputs).
Any wisdom here? I am using WIN XP SP2 with SONAR and a CREAMWARE soundcard. I tried the ASIO stuff with and without the CREAMWARE card software running (thought it might be conflicting). But both ways are a NO GO.
Also, does anyone know if there is are 64 bit drivers for the Stealth? The installer program just craps out when I run it on VISTA 64 without installing any drivers?
Thanks,
Jim

We are working on 64bit drivers, and the moment they are available I will make an announcement here.idragosani wrote:64-bit drivers have been promised to be available soon...

Hi, just wanted to point out that disconnecting my wifi got rid of my noise issues. I can now safely go for the lowest buffer, which oddly enough seems to run the best so far on my machine.
Thanks Andrew.
Thanks Andrew.

Isn't it great? I was able to run a backing track and play a fairly complex preset at the lowest buffer when I used it to play a song at a family function last weekend. Great stuff! I would like to try another expression pedal and the double switch pedal for more live fun. That way I'd have at least volume, wah, overdrive plus one other switchable choice and be happy with that.

Hi, I have a Stealthplug, and like it a lot, now the adds for Stealthpedal say 'for a limited time' you get a free download of Amplitude Metal. Could you maybe get a carved in stone version of 'limited time' for us fence-sitters? Thanks!
