I've commented on this elsewhere, but I'll chime in again. I was among the first to discover this bug with Cubase 5 (oddly, no problem with C4 or SX3) which was a big disappointment to me as the Kit/Drumcore package is one of my favorites.Squids wrote:Apparently that's only for some Cubase 5 users but not all which makes it a harder bug to fix because it has to be replicated. We're going to try it out on our Cubase 5 next week and see ourselves. But they'll get it sorted.gmon72 wrote:if only submersible could fix DC3 and/or Kitcore 2 to work properly in Cubase 5. SHow stopper here.
I have been running debug programs for Submersible and working with their programmers for some months now. As far as that goes, they have been very responsive, although we still don't have a complete resolution. For a brief period there it looked like they had isolated the problem to a specific line of code. But then they reported to me that the conflict was ultimately something within Cubase 5 that had to be addressed with them. Steinberg knows about the issue, but I'm not sure about the priority they're giving it.
And that is where we are. I have just this morning sent Submersible a tickler email just to see where we are now, as it's been some weeks since I've been updated. I'll continue to keep you updated as I learn it myself.
Nice to see Squids also spending some time on this issue. Naturally, Squids and Co. introduced me to this stuff at an astounding price, and up until C5, it was really my go-to rhythm inspiration. So, if you're looking for some great drums at an amazing price point, get it, but get it from Esoundz. They support this stuff like no one else, and have even developed their own packs to go with it.
Cheers
