It's no really an update, it's a new product, with new modules, rewriting of many filters, etc. And moreover : it is USABLE, not only for toying, but to make music.
You can't always get what you waaaant...

Just when i was getting the hang of the first X16, this one goes DEEEEEEP, and i just love built-in sequencers.
Many thanks for this great great freebie!

Hi,
Perhaps this summer I will do a VST sequencer plug-in with only the sequencer module.

Hi,
I forgot to write in the feature list that you can use the Meter matrix destination like an axillary output (3,4).
You can adjust its level with the mini knob on the top of the GUI, to the right.
The Vol 1 and Vol 2 are to the main stereo output (1, 2).
One of the great hidden feature is the midi omni out.
With it you can control several monophonic vsts (or hardware synth) and use them like a polyphonic instrument (channels 1 to 6)
Have Fun!

That would be great. What would make it even better would be to add an Arpeggiator. Not enough quality FREE arpeggiator vsts. Like with swing, all kinds of timings, offset, triplets and cool rhythmic randomness.kx77free wrote:Perhaps this summer I will do a VST sequencer plug-in with only the sequencer module.

hi,
I think that I will do another plug-in, like this one but with KX oscillators with the full compatibility with the Kx-modulad waveforms.

Yes, but I can add just a transpose selector for each pattern...That would be great. What would make it even better would be to add an Arpeggiator

It sure didn't take long to find a sound to fit in a song! Thankyou for another excellent instrument!kx77free wrote:Hi,

k-an ambitious project to be sure. It didn't play nice with VSTHost, but when I put in my sequencer, the thing came to life. I'm not sure how much it ssounds like a VCS3, but some of the presets are incredible! Thanks so much for this!

hi,
And the VCS3 matrix concept is really basic but simple and great. The difficulty is just to adjust the feed backs and stabilize them.
I did a 3 pole filter based my Kx filter code but I adjusted the resonance during one week, to do a perfect tuned self-oscillation.
Some lovers of the Vcs3 talk about the trapezoid but it's just a looped ASR...
(Sure, if you modulate with 3 volts to any analog inputs with a positive offset, that can be terrific for the HPs ...)
for this version 2.0, I rewritten the "On-ADS-R-Off" in c++ (see the help) and I replace the SE delay by my Kx Delay.
Xavier
I tweaked the oscillators to reproduce the distortion and the limited bandwidth (10 khz) of the VCS3 by report to original recordings done by Scot Solida.I'm not sure how much it sounds like a VCS3

It's a modular synthesizer, it was made to produce quickly some strange, noisy, rhythmic sounds but any other instrument simulations, EP, guitar, bass, string, wind, lead, etc......, but some of the presets are incredible!
