Well almost, because the instruments jbriged are kind of sluggish.
I wished it would have been more clear before buying that they are still 32bit.
But hopefully sampletank3 will come along and the gui's will look better on retina screens.
I stuffed all my sounds and combis into the SampleTank 2.5 folder, and all seems well.
With the exception that it takes 2-3 times as long to start an instance of SampleTank as it does to load the TTS-1 for some reason.
I'm sure it has to do with having so many sounds, though.
One thing I will say is that after using this software, I 100% understand why there is no 64bit version.
This software is old. Using it transports me back to the days of Windows ME.
This also helps me understand why everyone wants ST3 so badly. I get it now. This has certain drawbacks that I didn't expect, that other software doesn't have, that we have to live with until they release ST3. And we have to live with it because SampleTank is awesome.
But I will say that so far it doesn't seem like any of those drawbacks actually impede my music creating process. I can understand, though, that having to deal with them for such a long time, while seeing other software make certain advances, can be frustrating.
It's easy to hate a piece of software when it sucks, and just chuck it in the bin, but ST doesn't suck. It's very much the king of the software romplers as far as I can tell.
So it's like loving something that accidentally hurts or teases you.
