Midiworks, you cant expect people taking you as a serious guy? No matter what has happened in you private life, nobody here gives a damn. Or do they even believe you? Im not sure if I am. Theres an excuse for everything and maybe thats a blessing for many. But the issue is that you have acted unserious. And even if you release that plugin very soon, will the buyers see 1.1 version soon or never? Or will you start a new thread 5 years later letting people know you have a new plugin? And when customers asking you wheres the upgradeversion of the buggy plugin they bought long ago and shouldnt you have done that before you developed a new plugin and maybe they get the answer you have problems in your private life again? I think you should see it from a byers situation. Should they trust someone like you? I wouldnt take the risk bying something from you. Hell no! You have burnt your ship long ago man. I cant take you serious at all.

Blah blah. We've been there before.

Thing is, René, you're just f**king DISHONEST! And that's why people shouldn't believe a single word you type.
I already explained it to you multiple times, so here it is for a very last time: You HAVE NEVER SAID A SINGLE WORD in the infamous amp sim thread why this thing failed to show up. NEVER EVER!. Are you too f**king dumb to realize that this very behaviour has been entirely ruining your reputation? It's not that you didn't deliever the amp sim, it's that you acted like a retarded coward. In other words, you simply weren't man enough to deal with it.
Plus, you are so much of an idiot that you still have the Soundcentral page in your sig and that this very site is linking to an incredibly lame Soundclick page - all of this only reminding folks of the amp disaster. I repeat it: All too apparently you are even too freaking dumb to understand that. Remove that page already. Explain yourself in the amp sim thread. Tell folks you haven't been enough of a programmer to finish the amp sim. Start trying to regain a little reputation. But stop to act like a dumb ass.
Well, maybe you really need to see a doctor. But you certainly don't need people becoming your customers.

Sorry for the harsh words, but you deserve no better.

I can't say as I've ever seen so much hype (and for so long) put on KVR about a plug-in that never materialized.

That speaks of something not being quite right, somewhere along the line.

Just chiming in to say that -imho- you're a bit rude with the guy Sascha and Patton.

Ok he has failed on releasing one plug in. And his marketing techniques, as the link for the old plug are questionable ( Yes I also think it would be better they relate to the actual product)

But well, if ever this guy was about to release a stable plug in of his own, and finish his product this time, well shouldnt we let him ONE chance ?

I remember when I was younger that I wrote a complete program, and couldnt release it because ....... I just had no money to make the marketing :? :help: . More than one complete year of work lost, or not so lost because I did learn an incredible ammount of different things during this time.

And then I wrote some more successfull code, and in the end I even started a company.

I dont know the personal story of this guy, and why he disapointed so much people in such a heavy way ( maybe because there was to much hope and waitings ?) but well he said he never stole anybody, and that he released free versions of his plugs so .....

Well ... is one chance too much demanding ? Doesnt anybody deserves the right to be judged actually on his real work, if the work comes out this time ?

I agree that this looks like a fairly simple plug-in and no one should just rush in immediately and claim it's all BS because he really may put this one out and it may be good, who knows.

But surely you saw over time the long, tedious, drawn out KVR "marketing" campaign for the amp sim. Unless he needed money to set up DL sales on his website that he didn't have, he can't blame the situation on lack of marketing. He had probably hundreds of people on KVR seeing those discussions here and hearing the promises.

Slate got blasted and then the thread got locked on Gearslutz because they announced and hyped a plug-in a few months before release.

Midiworks made their bed with the loooong pre-release hype for the amp sim that now appears to truly be nothing but vaporware. Too much hype for something that isn't delivered is, in itself, a kind of "ripping off" of the people who spent time following it, only to be left with nothing.

Duly noted Lotuzia... However its not just one plugin... It was the ampsim, and the acoustic guitar simulator, and a compressor I believe. For the acoustic guitar simulator he said that a few would be chosen as beta testers after submitting material. A few of us took time and did so... And what did we get? Nada.
Also his signature? "Having something this good and not sharing it is almost a crime"?
I don't like being teased... Does anybody?

No, he's either a full stop idiot or needs some serious help. No way around that.

No. He had his chances, more than once. He didn't take the opportunity.

Did you lie to your users, not tell them what happened or simply ignore them back then? Hopefully not. This is exactly what this coward has done multiple times.

In addition, he also released a SynthEdit based creation that (for obvious reasons) extracted the source VST DLLs into the data folder which were not his but property of MDA. And while the MDA stuff is freeware, it has never been meant to be used in a derivative product. This very event never got cleared, either. There's certainly been no permission given to Midiworks to re-use the plugins by (MDAs) Paul Kellet.

In short: Anybody purchasing things from this "programmer" (which he probably even isn't, as far as I can trust my senses) is most likely wasting money. As easy as that.

Having known his past and what is being brought up again, even if you are brand new to KVR (you hopefully would be smart enough to do a little research here), would you ever buy a plugin from this guy based on that? If he offered a beta/demo for everyone to try, then he might have some credit and potential buyers after that. Not a "Send me clips and I will demo it for you...". How would anyone know/believe it's really from his plugin given his "company's" history now.

If he really was passing off someone else's code as his own (I missed that part of the saga) then he's compromised his status as a developer unless he can explain why.

He did and he won't. And xmas will come and go with nary a hide nor hair of this plug in sight. And when asked why Rene will say its because we pretty much talked him out of it (even though he just more or less said "I'll show you... You'll see.")

Mark my words... I'll see you in jail.
