A very special EQ, using masking effects and goes in the direction of Fletcher-Munson. No very easy to understand how it works but it can help not to destroy the frequency balance or change it in a bad way.

that was one of the reasons i sold my copy.

I didn't sell it because my system couldn't push it or because the knobs were too 'fiddly' (which are the typical reasons people tend to sell it). I sold it because a lot of the stuff i loaded didn't ever seem to work right (couldn't hear much or any of an audible difference); it usually had just two slider parameters to fiddle with and was hard to figure out ..no....that's not the right way of saying it ..hmmm....it was hard to come to terms with ..uhhh....that's not it either ..let's see now....i know, you had to do a lot of thinking (guess i'm spoiled to user friendly apps). Anyway, i did love the sound i got out of 2 or 3 of emu's i did load up ).

Ok, sorry for getting OT a little, but i just know there's others as well as myself who would really love to use Nebula if it weren't so dang enigmatic - for lack of a better word.

..off to download a demo of Vitalizer MK2-T.

Artgiver, I wrote some OT stuff on my previous post about Nebula very similar to yours (but deleted it, no hijacking). You're not alone. I used the word 'unresponsive' to describe my experience with Nebula so far.

I really liked Vitalizer MK2. Probably my favorite software exciter (maybe tied with Vienna Suite's Exciter), although a little hard to understand.

The "wow, every time, it ruins the good balance of everything that I've achieved up until now" effect never wears off. Unsurprising, though, just like with other plugins of the same type.

No. Vitalizer mkII comes with 19 presets.

That might be the case on all effects when overused, I find.

Im not a big fan of SPL or BBE exciters but Nebula is the BIGGEST joke ever
