Confirmation? You can take ew's word for it. He speaks truth only.

This started when a KVR member posted an illegal registration code and got banned for it. Rather than leave it at that I decided to ask ew whether he would be kind enough to ask around about the possibility of getting a valid reg code for those who would like to try this seminal software, and he agreed to do so. For some reason I never got the code NI emailed, though I got other email from them. Glad to see Eric was able to get it straightened out.

Thanks again, ew. *salute*

I was also inclined to trust ew's post :)

It would be nice for NI to provide the latest version, but the license allows redistribution so I'm happy to email the ver.2.21 installer on to anyone that cares to PM me an address.

That's true. It was the registration codes that weren't redistributable. Now that an official free code has been provided I've unbanned the user who was handing out reg codes -- with a warning that he or she is absolutely not to redistribute anything illegally in the future.

Hey! I just got Reaktor on sale($100) I'm guessing its kinda like Synthmakler and Synth edit, only with some pre-made synths included??

I'm still learning it...

One thing I probably should add, though it seems obvious to me.

NI allowing this to become free doubtless does NOT mean they'll be providing support! So please don't flood their forums, or especially their email accounts, with requests and such. As with my favorite 3D modeling and rendering software, which MS bought and then abandoned, the community will have to do the supporting.

We've got at least one or two good SynC threads already, I think. If one or more of you mavens would like to start up a "forum-in-a-thread" support thread, and if there's not a suitable one already, that would be fine.

NI dont support ANY free products, infact, they totally ignore you if you email them about them.
