I'm working on it, together with the updated manual. Here are the major ones:
- the first obvious change is the UI, with a few subtle enhancements here and there.
- there are a lot of envelope editing options, including a special mode for pitch envelopes.
- the filters now have feedback sliders, so you can feed FLT1 into FLT2 and FLT2 back into FLT1 - usually this creates very nasty resonant peaks, so the filters also have a clipping option to keep things safe.
- there is also a clip indicator next to the main level slider
- the library is now initialized with all the free Rhino presets, neatly classified.

Congratulations! And long live Rhino !

This will hopefully inspire my long planned 3rd Rhino sound bank. :)

A heads-up for Kore users; you might need to delete the rhino2.ksd from the database cache to get the new version to show; I did here, probably because I overwrote my old Rhino install with the new one.

On XP, it's at (turn on "show hidden files and folders"):

Docvuments and Settings\*your user account*\Local Settings\Application Data\Native Instruments\Kore 2\Database Cache

Nice update, 'Tick :D

Should we uninstall the old one before installing the new one, or what would be the best thing to do?

You can install it over the previous one, but just to make sure everything is cleaned up, I would uninstall and reinstall.

Ouch ! don't tell me the nifty sliding panel at the top of the site is not working with IE8 ?!? Anyway, if it is the case you can just go here to login.

If you install over an older version, Rhino will automatically be (i.e. stay) registered. :tu:

Yes. Or do as Jens said.

The dmg is not functioning in snow leopard!

Really ? I'm on Snow Leopard too... maybe something went wrong in the transfert ? Because I just tried to download it and it opened correctly for me...

Playing it now. Nice to have a full library but I wish I could tell which bank a patch was from when I load one. Which libraries is it based on? Does it include all Daniel's?

I'm finding the gui is a little sluggish. Sliders seem to drag a bit when I move them and when I change a patch the comments for the previously loaded patch seem to stay in the box sometimes.

Post

well i just get a message saying the dmg is not recognized. Too bad :(

EDIT: Figured out the problem. The download didnt fare well with Chrome so it only downloaded 4 mbs.
