The slow introduction of layers and sounds felt oddly natural through out. It's a distant/escapist, but emotional piece for me. Some of the keys seems to be talking and crying at the same time. The key change at 2:45ish is an awkward, but refreshingly optimistic change. Though i could have lived in the limbo of the first few minutes for quite a while, it unravels nicely.
Unbelievably nice sound design and the mix is pretty much flawless in my cans. :)

Amazingly clear and well mixed track poly. SUper production values. I like the changes in this track, they feel right. Really love your work. The discordance is tasteful, emotive and just delicious really.

I didn't really dig the ultra-high frequency ring though, it kinda took away from the track for me. I'd leave it out or reduce the volume of it.

Anyway a wicked track that grabbed me and held me from start to finish. cheers.

:hihi: horses for courses, that was one of my favourite bits! I'm a sucker for those crystalline bell sounds...

I was going to say i think we're referring to the same bit, but it does have a bit of a bell sound.. Really, you like it? Arg! it does my head in! :)

Thanks for that Sarah.

Thank god for music though. It has at least given me a channel for my grief.

Oh you kids and your crazy hearing above 12khz!

Thanks a bunch Tank! Now, that sound... can you be more specific? Are you talking about a particular part/instrument or something that runs throughout?

I was hoping someone else was going to answer your question poly so I don't look like a over-sensitive weirdo :)

OK so to me it sounds a bit like a open hat/bell, but it's got that kind of "what you imagine a dog whistle sounds like" quality to it.. not nausea and dizziness bad, but slightly irritating when listened to for more than a minute. It's first introduced at 0:34, teeek teeek.

Know what I'm on about?

Ok, gotcha. Yeah, I can be sensitive to that sound as well, and I did try to tone it down with an eq cut. Evidently there are some bats in the audience that still find it irritating. Kidding, I understand. I guess it's passable to these old and no doubt damaged ears. Probably one of those sounds that once you latch on to it you can't hear anything else.
