If you are learning to learn by ear, you may find it easier in the beginning to work with simpler arrangements.

An arrangement of a song can make it seem more [or less] complex than it is.

Figuring out the structure is a good place to start, keynotes, chords etc. Then build from there.

[try just plunking thru the notes on your instrument until one fits, i always turn the music down in the beginning so its indistinct.]

This has a voice, piano arrangement [for the most part]. Try picking out the root notes. The verse [unless i missed something] seems to be 2 chords.





One is major, one is minor. Listen for the difference. Learn to hear major and minor differences.

The chorus then changes to the relative minor. [with a 4 chord progression]

I am sure someone will correct me if i'm not hearing right.

I havent ever heard this band before but just jammed along with my acoustic guitar for the last hour or so on youtube, she seems to sing a lot in minor keys.
