Did you setup an extra script for the arp Midi port?
Well, I spent 3 weeks learning Bitwig 4 on a trial license, then bought the full license 4 days ago.
I spent a few hours on 3rd party scripts, including the Driven by Moss scripts, and I really found them to be super maximal for the minimal config I am trying to build.

So I built it my own way, with 1 instrument track for the Vector MIDI in/out and a second instrument track for Vector MIDI arp input only. This is identical to how it works inside Cubase 12 -- 1 track for MIDI in/out, second track to grab incoming MIDI arp. Bitwig does not see the incoming MIDI Arp data from Vector no matter how Vector or Bitwig are configured. All my other HW and soft synths send their MIDI Arp data to Bitwig, Cubase, etc, without any trouble. The issue may be in how the Vector sends that data. I tried Note FX and MIDI channel mapping stuff in Bitwig, but it didnt see the MIDI arp.

Is there some sort of script to do this a different way? Maybe, but I am looking for minimal configuration so that I can continue to build and route the way I like to, per my own philosophy. *To start*. Later I can get more into 3rd party scripts if I can find a use for them. I switch back and forth between Cubase and Bitwig for now.

Edit: I should also add, I've not been able to get Maschine and my MK3 working perfectly inside Bitwig 4, either. Without scripts by Moss or whomever, getting Maschine to read/write MIDI data to/from Bitwig is also a pain, unless you are using a single "group" inside Maschine. If you only use one group, that's easy to read/write to Bitwig. As soon as you try to add multiple maschine groups and assign MIDI routing to/from them in Bitwig, you get problems. From everything I've read, you need 3rd party scripts to use Maschine(properly) as a plugin inside Bitwig. For now I use a single Maschine group, or I just do it all in Cubase and send WAVs to Bitwig.

Im looking forward to future Bitwig updates that perhaps fix these baffling integration issues. These things all work fine inside Cuabse 12, without any 3rd party nonsense or even specific integration support.

Any generic keyboard script should do. There is nothing fancy to control beside passing Midi notes…
On the other hand, the arpeggiator of Bitwig is great in its own. Many options to modulate its behavior…

I ended up buying a Linnstrument a few years after this post in 2017. I kept waiting for something else to happen and it never really did.

Now, there's finally a couple of promising projects like the Osmose and Erae. But it's hardly a sea change. I really expected that by now this kind of tech would be ubiquitous and we would be a few generations in. We're just now entering maybe the second generation.

At least we have MIDI 2.0's MPE extensions and support in most DAWs and sequencers.

I actually ended up selling my Linnstrument, which pained me, but it always felt like it never lived up to the potential it had and I wasn't willing to rewrite the firmware myself. It's a very good controller with a cute little dual sequencer, so I'm not knocking it. But I have mostly been using a Deluge as my sequencer for eurorack, and while it is not as performable from an expressive standpoint, the sequencing potential is more useful to me now. Maybe I'll buy another one someday.
noise and beats: Negutyv Xeiro do people actually click these?
gearlust: Roland JP-8000, too much/not enough eurorack
machinecode by: u-he, Bitwig, Fabfilter, NI, et al

They all seem to fall by the wayside. Most designs were quirky or anscillary add ons. Striking designs like the Sensel Morph or Schapiro Audio Skillet were usb only.

The Vector is fairly amazing and instantly became my top synth, and I knew that before it showed up specifically because of all the videos about it online. Ive had some of my very favorite ambient jams of my entire life on this instrument in the last couple weeks, and Ive been doing this for 20 years. ...
I did not wanted to bash the synth.
We talking here about xyz pad.. and that is not the case of Beetlecrab, which some of their vid tried to just SUGEST - by saying it is sort of 3D and I was thinking it is sort of 3D.) No, there is no "sort of" and this is regular 2D... otherwise I cannot say a thing about it since I do not have it, but can imagine it is fun and unique..

Its my every day instrument, and it has brought my over-stressed, COVID-sheltering home another layer of peace and serenity, especially in late evenings. I wear the little "Vector Synth: Boarding Pass" button that they gave me with it on my shirt almost every day. I have many synths, but about 3-4 fit into a certain category in my mind, as far as being "peace" (uplifting, hypnotic deep ambient or drone) instruments. Vector is my peace instrument. I dont mind being silly and passionate about it. ; )
