I've been following this forum for a while now .Just lurking in the shadows really.
It's been interesting seeing the development of rhino and it's library. One thing that is lacking with alot of vsti's are quality patches. When I had my hardware
synths I never had to program my own sounds.personally I don't want to have to program sounds ,maybe just layer and adjust the filters abit but thats it.
I'm glad to see you guys building up a good library.
Here's a quote from computer music that I totally agree with.
For myself I'd rather stick to one or two synths that have a large palette of good sounds.Vst synths are everywhere at the moment. If you're having trouble fiding a certain kind of patch for a song, it's almost as easy to dowload a new synth as it is to trail through your saved patches.At least half of all the new synths that appear on the net ,however, are just variations on what we've already seen.......
but the truth is that the best soft synths are usually the ones that do things a bit differently.Enter big tick Rhino.....
