Trance, house, DnB

I was going to guess classical, romantic, and baroque but someone beat me to it :(
I'd rather learn a synth than make a song :)

No, 1 guess per person. You may however change your guess, by editing your post between now and the time I go through them tomorrow morning to look for a winner. :)

Ambient, Film & EDM!

I'm going with these 3 guesses as being the closest. :) Just pm me with your email address and I'll shoot ROM out to you.

And thanks to everyone for playing, even the people who guessed fish or polka ha-ha. :hihi:

Added : It looks like ROM is up to #3 on the vst soundbank sales chart, with Zebrasonix still beating it at #2. A quick extra thanks to those who've purchased a copy, you help pay my rent. I wish I could say it was for cocaine and hookers and drunkenly crashing diamond encrusted yachts into giant oversized faberge eggs and whatnot, but honestly, Charlie Sheen has me beat there, apparently he makes a bit more than I do ha-ha. :hihi:

Whatever, I hope for a really good ambient / chillout set. If not from you, then from somebody else.

Well, lately I've been working on more -pad- type sounds, which more or less qualify as 'ambient', or 'soundtrack' type material almost by default I guess. :) Pads are something I never paid much attention to, but layering the comb module sounds over a more standard synthy Osc sound with some small modulations, seems to make for some nice textural stuff. Someone did a whole set of 'strings' for Zebra if I recall, you might take a listen to the demos for that meanwhile.

You're welcome, and congrats. :)

I'll let this thread die now, and there won't be any more until at least Valentine's Day. :hihi:
