The audio quality from the iPad's mic is not as good as the iPhone's, in my experience having both. As for an external mic, I'd rather get the new one coming out from Apogee than something that connects to the headphone jack. there are inherent limitations with that.

I've given up on the headphone adapter stuff. The iRig sucks with GarageBand, and the Peavey Amplink isn't much better.

To be honest with you we have been busy putting out new updates and releases on our desktop platform. We have big plans for our mobile apps but it does take time to release updates and we also do not want to forget our desktop users. All in due time my friend, we use the apps we make and its a feature request that isn't forgotten.leggie wrote:For how much longer ?!ObiK wrote:It is something we are currently working on. You have been 'currently working on' copy/paste for a year now as i remember, i paid for and dumped iRig for the iPad and cancelled a 130 pounds order because of this and made some off topic noise on a few KVR threads !!
Well here is some more. A high percentage of the 'Decent' audio apps on IOS have had this for ages, either im a fooken idiot and dont understand how hard it would be to implement this into your software or IK are not adding it for a reason?!?!
