Uhmmm maybe we should update the contest rules, in order to limit the track duration... :lol:

For the hi-hat, starting from the "initialize" preset, choose "Crymple Sample" in Factory OSCs (big button in the waveform panel), then in FX 2 choose "Filter" (values ranging between 50-80 should work for a basic hihat), then tweak adsr values.

No clue about a decent snare, so far :(

I've come up with a miserably crappy/anemic snare that I hate, I think if I wash it in enough verb I can make it truly onerous...

Hehe, noise is tricky in Zebralette. You can create a noise-like sound by painting some random stuff into the wavetable in GeoBlend mode, sharpen a few times (right-click on waveform editor) and then add the Scrambler OscFX, maybe before the filter.

Nevertheless, maybe this OSC is te ideal opportunity to drop snares and add more cowbell :hihi:

... or a zebrabell :lol:

Here's a quick attempt... very rough and synthetic... but still:

http://www.u-he.com/downloads/Zebra/UH_SynthSnare.h2p (right-click save as)

Adjust ADSR F/R for "slap back echo"

Well, yesterday i was doing some percussive sounds, when i finish some more, i will upload my percussive oddities for Zebralette so you could use or tweak them.

At the moment they are about 15 kicks, 5 strange electronic snares, and a couple of blips (hats) for those who find difficult making them.

If some of you have more percussive sounds, you could send to me so i could get all of them and making a bigger soundbank for Zebralette for percussive sounds, and upload it properly here, U-he presets and KVR soundbanks page.
If you are going to do it, please, write your name on the patch.
What do you think? :)

@Urs
You are amazing, and you know it :tu:

I felt a shake in OSC post when Urs posted the prize, like if people feel suddently "Time to win!" :lol:

Have a good day :)

I think this is a big reason I have stayed with the OSC, Great community of open minded folks. Our debate over introducing a commercial synth is a great example, there were some pretty strong views expressed, but it never got close to getting ugly, always stayed good-natured. Welcome and enjoy!
