As always ps, lovely sounds with an unsettling vibe...you're really quite scary, do you know that??

simply love the way you used pops and crackles and how it forms this fantastic contrast with that solemn pianosound.

I really like the piano in this, I find that it gives it a very distant landscape feeling, and as the percussion builds, I pictured it like a tribe slowly converging around a fire toghether as one unifyed spirit... all the little effect noises really broguth it to life for me, adding personality and a touch of psychedelic relations..

Cheers for the comments guys, very much appreciated!
mikusan - I guess it's my alter ego, cos I'm about as un-scary as it gets in RL.

excellent piece. as others have said, this is a very visual piece of music, it's easy to imagine in as part of a film noir soundtrack.

polyslax,
Very Harold Budd/Brian Eno collab feel. Reference 'The Pearl' from the 1980's. Yes, I have a copy on vinyl.
This is when Editions EG were the only label selling 'Ambient' music.

Really beautiful piece, and goes well with the next one in your soundcloud player. First time around I had to "rewind" because I missed the transition while listening at work
Great stuff as per usual, Matt!

Many thanks Scott + Ronnie!
Scott - I've had The Pearl recommended to me a few times... definitely have to look into it. I've got a tiny bit of Budd and likewise Eno, but I'd love to hear them together.
