I actually started working on a TB MIDI Stuff panel last night to change patches on a rack synth. It took me around 30 minutes to eventually figure out what to do. If you need some help, let us know. With this app you can have buttons send multiple messages, so you could assign multiple program changes into a single button. The problem with iOS apps is many of them do not respond to program changes.
Sorry for getting off topic.

---Thanks for the information. I'll check out the TB midi things, I mostly need some way of controlling apps live and having the ability to create patches with multiple apps would be great. My midi controller sadly just transmits on one channel so I might need to commit one of my other synths to doing this for me...Kind of complicated these days...LOL

I got me that Bismark App as suggested and donloaded the free Mellotron Soundfonts.
It's ok to use.
However, I also bought the Mellotron Sampleset for SampleTank and feel more comfortable using this, as I use the SampleTank App anyway for other stuff.
Thanks for all the sugestions.

The BS-16i app update with audiobus arrived in the app store Sunday!
The nice thing about the BS-16i is that you don't have to use just one Mellotron sampleset. There are many, many different soundfonts of that instruments available!

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

---Thanks as always for your help. I don't own Audiobus yet and was wondering, if I make this patch that contains two or three patches from different apps is this retained where I can call it/them up quickly?

If I am understanding you correctly, then the answer is unfortunately no. Audiobus is a lot like JACK: http://jackaudio.org/Scott Murrell wrote:---Thanks as always for your help. Unfortunately, due to the nature of iOS (it sandboxes each app for security, stability and virus safety), and due to the nature of the app store, there is not currently a good way for plugins to be created and cross-used between apps. The closest thing we have is Audiobus and virtual midi. These two technologies allow independent, sandboxed apps to communicate audio and midi information with each other. However, they are still independent and very much standalone apps. There is not currently a way to do what we take for granted in the Windows world: create a project and have all plugins load with the project.
It's not too bad however, and audiobus is WELL worth the connectivity capability!
Chances are, you probably already have some audiobus compatible apps.
I hope this helps!

---Thanks, I have a bunch of great apps but getting to them live is the problem. I wish I had time to record but just don't so playing live on the weekends is about it. I use 5 other synths so I don't know why I'm obessessing over trying to do this but I just hate having cool sounds I can't get to in time...LOL
Once again your advice is great and appreciated..

I recently got the M3000 App and bought some in App purchases after realising that the App now supports Core MIDI.
Really nice sounds and very easy to use.
In the Meantime, I had been using SampleTank with some of the extra Mellotron sounds.
I must get me some soundfonts however, I remember I have that Bismark App somewhere but never use it much
