(post here)We're porting from RTAS, so the initial AU will be 32-bit and we will immediately begin working on the 64-bit version.

A couple of things to consider:sadkin wrote:Yes, intended for individual tracks but it sounds a little better to me when subtlety is desired than compared to the waves Kramer and even the CDSoundmasters VTMM2 - which perhaps is too subtle; for me, it is hard to hear what it is doing until it is driven into the red - at that point I am no longer dealing with subtle saturation then am I?
StripBus aims to sound like two not exactly defined consoles. One Tube, one Solid State IIRC - rumor has it, that one of the consoles was inspired by a German firm. Slate VCC offers a Neve, a SSL 4k (but E I think), a RCA Tube console, a Trident and an API - ages differing from late 70ies to early 90ies. Waves NLS will offer another SSL (4k, but G), an EMI TG12345 Mk4 from the 70ies, and a custom Neve 5116 (around 80ies). Sonimus Satson offers (IIRC) a Solid State Console (aimed at SSL), and another one along the lines of API or Neve. Dunno off hand at the moment.sadkin wrote: I would imagine the Slate VCC and Stripbus could do some nice console style saturation too - I am now very curious how the new Waves console plug-in sounds. I know that is a different type of 'Saturation' but still desirable in many instances.
Why? Plenty of toys available already.sadkin wrote:I need to check out this UBK1 - looks very intriguing - sometimes I feel totally 'out of it'.
It's 32bit onlyttoz wrote:interesting, the ubk has no info anywhere whether it is a 64 bit plug in , or not. bummer.
I was rather aiming the "feel totally out of it" part.ttoz wrote:Compyfox wrote:

why? because it sounds bloody AMAZING. better than any plugin i've heard.
I think you mean 5khz. 50khz is above most peoples' samplerates.lingyai wrote:I find that the combination of BootEQI mklI (adding 2-4 db at around 50 khz, the frequency will vary of course depending on the signal) feedin into the Ferric TDS mentioned above (both are free, from Variety of Sound

works great for subtle couloring / taking the digital sheen off things.
SKNote's Roundtone is also very good.
Check this Thread post numbers 453 & 454 I mention the problems with 32bit and get a positive reply.ttoz wrote:interesting, the ubk has no info anywhere whether it is a 64 bit plug in , or not. bummer.
Mixsaturator is just right for the job or maybe try PSP Vintage Warmer.dalor wrote:PSP MixSaturator2 in Shape mode: 'Tape-1'.
Start with Saturation 100%, Input +12 db (fully distorted).
Then slowly turn down either or both to taste.
It highly depends on material you throw at it.
Turn on and off to check if it sounds/glues better with your settings, you obviously don't want to make things sound worse, only better.
LOL. Didn't wanna say much when it comes to Nebula. Just +1.ttoz wrote:i am SO OVER Nebula.
Anything but nebula.
Worse money pit than UAD.
Horrible to USE.
