Can that be a router problem? I mean, I double-checked again, everything works well here.jobromedia wrote:Snagged the update y'day. Will check it out a bit today. And the issue with the wifi connection persists. Only this time when I hit the close button the app exits without no due warning.

When I need to transfer large amount of files from iPad to computer I use iExplorer. This way you can enter any directory in your iPad with no need of wi-fi, nor iTunes. You just have to get to know the program because it has some limitations.

Absolutely. What a stroke of genius. Obviously this kind of thing is just too difficult for Apple, we have to go through the rigmoral of extracting our files from the iOS devices. It works, sure. But simply browsing the device for files is the way you would expect most devices to work. It is somewhat frustrating that you have to go through the iTunes, DropBox, email etc. avenues just to get your bloody files off of the thing!!jobromedia wrote:My hero right there!IncarnateX wrote:When I need to transfer large amount of files from iPad to computer I use iExplorer. Not even that. It is possible to browse files if you jailbreak the device. iOS is simply intentionally crippled due to corporational paranoia: An app is not allowed do anything beyond its own directory. It must not connect to other files due to security reasons and bla bla. Only gateways such as dropbox, mail, soundcloud and wi-fi are allowed.Dogboy73 wrote:Obviously this kind of thing is just too difficult for Apple,

You're absolutely right. I was being sarcastic towards Apple. I think it's bulls**t that you have to jailbreak an iOS device in order to be able to do some pretty basic stuff with it. I'd like to be able to delete the iOS apps that I NEVER use but I can't (I use this as an example because it bugs the hell out of meIncarnateX wrote:Not even that. You can't delete apps?!
And iTunes is very capable of drag/drop files to/from iPx.

Not the iOS ones that are part of the iOS. There are about 5 or 6 of these that I never use (. The ones I do I could probably do without. I think you can delete these Apps if you jailbreak your device.Insaniac wrote:You can't delete apps?!

Then you should jailbreak. All versions of the iPad are jailbreakable now (except for 5.1 beta). I recently did my iPad 2 with IOS 5.0.1. It's easy and well worth the few minutes it took. It's reversible, too.Dogboy73 wrote:I'd like to be able to delete the iOS apps that I NEVER use but I can't (I use this as an example because it bugs the hell out of me)

I've been thinking about doing this. I think my warranty has expired now so no worries there. Might look into this again.sonicflux wrote:Then you should jailbreak.
