Wobble wobble, isn't that what Grimace from McDonald's always says? Oh, no, that's "robble robble".

Yeah coming from Sugarbytes it will probably be good. Though most Dubstep isn't dub at all but more sportstep. Like how Korn and limp biskit were sport metal.

It sounds like an april fools joke.

no demo? i wanna try it out hahaha

release is today. sometimes i wonder why threads about diva or saurus (which may bring a nice sound qualtity to the table but nothing really new) go on for tens or even hundred of pages and then when a really innovative new synth (at least what one can guess from the feature descritpions) comes along almost no one seems to care :(

I don't think it's that no one cares; consider that Urs let people participate in the development of Diva by releasing an open beta. Sugar Bytes don't stoke the marketing fires on KVR very much, there are only a few posts and teasers before the final product is released. I remember when Turnado came out - no one was really prepared for how awesome it turned out to be.

I for one am really excited about this synth and can't wait to try it out.

Post

hi ariston, for diva you are absolutely right. but if i remember correctly for saurus there wasn't even an audio demo when the thread had reached an insane number of pages. back on topic there are already some cool demos on soundcloud and on sugar bytes facebook page for cyclop including a great piece by torley. so let's hope it is released later today, i also can't wait.

Saurus case was different. It's not about the sound quality but more about the extravagant promotion at the time + the name Saurus itself sounded like a snipe at Diva. Combined with the crazy amount of OT stuff, it manage to hit 100 pages.

So... it's out. Where's the champagne and the fireworks? More importantly: where's the loyal customer discount? ;)

Theres definitely more to this synth than gratuitous use of LFO. I think it looks really interesting. Sugarbytes makes some wicked stuff, I'm just dl'ing the demo. I'm trying not to be put off by the terminology... :P my sister and all her friends were hooked on Dubstep 3 or 4 years ago, so I kind of had enough "wobble" quite a while ago. Sounds like a washing machine from the next room...

But Cyclop looks like a damned powerful machine doesn't it?

just out of curiousity, and not to start a fire or anything...

Yeah, I recently bought Turnado so I'm on their mailing list but haven't received an email about this latest release. Seems a bit poorly marketed. Not even a tempting intro price. If you've bought one of their products in the past do they do a discount if you buy another?

The whole thing started for Saurus with a competition to win Tone2 products, which considering the reception they get here was really quite generous.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive
