A good velocity sensitive midi keyboard? ($150-200)

I got the Oxygen. In terms of quality it's alright IMO.

Anyway, I have a quick question. (I'm sure it's common and I did some quick searching but couldn't find a solution..)

When I press and hold the play/record/.. buttons they work properly, but then at release there's a "note off" being sent, so that record gets disabled unless I just hold that button down.
How do I fix this? (Using Renoise at the moment.)
EDIT: Never mind, I think I got it. Just have to hold the midi button while assigning and click with the mouse somewhere else before releasing it. But if there's some 'better' way let me know.

No idea about the other controllers but also interested in opinions. About the CME UF50? I need knobs and sliders, no need for pads but it won't hurt. Anybody?

That's what you get for selling/giving away a "present".

Hi Courtney. I really liked the Evolution's keys action. The problem had to do with drivers (much later I understood it had to do with webcam incompatibility), and the lack of sliders - I really needed it. But the keys' action was indeed much better than this M-Audio crap.
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

I'm looking for a compact, velocity-sensitive midi keyboard, just to manipulate the DAW, not to seriously play. Full set of keys isn't necessary. I'm looking at the M-Studio keystation - http://m-audio.com/index.php?do=product ... a356351b09 (http://m-audio.com/index.php?do=products.main&ID=80e02a738b49ec7f3154d1a356351b09)

any other suggestions? $50-$200, preferably.
Thanks.

Have you considered buying an older synth from eBay? Some of them, like the Roland D-10 have a pretty fine keybed (and velo response) and they sometimes go for very little money. I bought one for back-up purpose for only €50,-.
The housing is made of steel and is very sturdy. The D-10 has been my masterkeyboard (for non-piano style input) since I started making music ages ago and I have no plans to replace it.
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.
