@spacedad
cheers! i know what you mean though, there's so many samples around nowadays that i hardly even get to try 1/4 of the stuff i find interesting.
@odo
i had a Prophet 64 too, but sold it for a MSSIAH. MIDI is MIDI after all. on the other hand, i totally suck at using trackers. except for LSDJ on Game Boy, loving that one!

will check the sounds, didnt yyet but how do you play em best?
i read a lot about trackers but it's so complicated and fiddly somehow, is there video tutorials? i dunno what makes trackers better for workflow than for example fl studio. i love trackermusic, dont misunderstand me, i meant to use it myself

i've got the kids for easter,so i don't get time to do much!
and i do most of my music using vsti's these days,though i always dl the nice stuff,in case i fancy a good chop-up session.
i love buzz,especially since it's getting regular updates now.
trackers are a different approach than pianorolls,and it took a few reads of the manual to get familiar,but i'm glad i did,cos it's really fun and creative.
i wish i had more time to mess about...but kid's baths/birthday parties/egg decorating to do!

Hey, only just noticed this, I was planning on doing the same thing!
Do you have a 2nd sid installed in your c64?
I finally finished soldering mine yesterday and it works (I didnt break it, yay!), but i've got a lot of noise and interference on SID2 when the filters are used. I was just downstairs with a mutimeter doing continuity testing and I think i've got a dead capacitor..
Cant wait to get it sorted, 6 channels of filth in the MSSIAH Monosynth is hard to resist!
anyway, nice job on the samples. SID 4 life!

@Caine123
tbh, i'm not very experienced with trackers, been using sequencers all my (musical) life. it's just a matter of workflow preference basically, i know that some people are just way more productive when using trackers. you can use Commodore 64 Synthesizer Sessions stuff in any sequencer or tracker, really. definitely check out odo's C64 samples too, those will work great in a tracker i think.
@spacedad
make a tune together with your kids? (use that as an example to mess with music during the holidays
) buzz looks great, btw! i've tried it a while ago but just couldn't figure much out and i didn't have time to read the manual. will have give it another try one day, although i'm now used to using MuLab for modular stuff.
@gamecat666
sweet! wish i get enough courage and skill to build a SID2SID some day. i know it's like the most basic mod ever, but i don't even have basic soldering skills. how would you use 2 SIDs in the Mono Synthesizer app, is it supported? i know it's a blast in the Sequencer, tho!
@thecontrolcentre
cheers tcc!

i do on occasions,but their attention spans are low,so unless you time it right,it can be frustrating.bpblog wrote:ith your kids? (use that as an example to mess with music during the holidays
