How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

5 years ago LP eq was the fashion. I experimented with it in an extreme way to greater understand it's strengths and weaknesses, when I understood how transients can be affected by the pre and post ringing my interest waned quickly.

If you need to make a cut in a piece of audio that has been limited a good LP eq should be able to do so without causing overs.

If you want to brickwall filter a track, try using butterworth filters instead. It's usually normal to start with -48dB/oct and go up if necessary.
