Brother Charles wrote:Nice tonality on this version. It allows the musicality and "breath" of the instruments though. Better definition and instrument articulation. Nice playing and good job at keepin' it tight.

Just my 2 pence. :)

Not mixed that loud. What do you think?
Thanks. Have you compared with the latest version?

I think mix-wise I prefer the previous version. The lead part in particular seems less clear (maybe that delay is causing the lack of clarity, or maybe the level needs to come up). I like what you did with the drum arrangement on the new version. The bass on the new mix seems more up-front. I like the power chords on the new version.

Just listened to the latest one again. I'm sure that the reverb/delay on the lead is the only problem here. It seems to be filling the space in the mix.

It feel very boxy to me. I am more used to super technical heavy metal which usually does not allow for much in the way of dynamics or a "roomy" sound, so I'm a little biased. But the drums, specifically, have a very overly "roomy" sound them.

Which, I mean, is mostly an opinion from me. If that's what you're going for then you did a good job :]

I like the bass tone.

this sounds good from here. maybe add just a tiny tad more kick? bass sounds really 'punchy'.. cool.

anything you would do to change this mix from this point; it would probably be just a matter of personal taste or target market.

imo.. ymmv
