It's hard to believe, isn't it! Time moves really fast in some ways. All of the drama that I've seen here beats any soap opera (except I don't know of any babies being switched at birth on KVR) Ha Ha!! :-)

At the same time, I've seen some real genuine camaraderie, teamwork, and unselfish charity and love take place here too. It's been a great ride! :-)

May KVR continue to be one of the best hang-outs for the next 10 years too!

:-)

Congrats for Ten!
It is kind of interesting looking at this thread and the date joined and the member # for each of the posters.

Wow nearly 12 years for me (By official reg dates on the posts) ..... but the neat thing is that some of us early guys were here even before. In 2000 there was a crash and a bunch of us earlier members had to re-register. I was one of the first here but my reg # is 41.

Hmmmmm ... some trivia.... what date did KVR actually go live, before the crash of 2000 where all our member numbers start? I can't remember but it was prior to the oldest members date.

Cheers and welcome to the 10 plus club ;-) Now I'm feelin' old.

Thanks guys! You're awesome!

@Paul: I rember some people talking about a crash--long ago, but I had completely forgotten about it. Do you know the approximate year the original KVR started?

I remember when Ben sold the place, and a lot of us were worried that everything would be ruined, but ya gotta give the owners credit--they've taken pretty good care of KVR!

Long time lurker mostly (really long time apparently) but I'm pretty sure it was around as "kvr-audio.com" or something similar for a few years at least before the crash and/or url change. Actually i never knew that was why I had to re-register. I thought it was related to the url change. Seems like I had been registered for a few years at least before I had to re-register. But maybe I'm remembering it wrong.... it was a long time ago!

You know, I think you're right! I remember having to reregister once too. Could that have been the crash? If so, then maybe I've been here longer than 10 years too! Either way, this has been a time for me to reflect on how great this place has been, and how many wonderful people I've met here. :-)

Yep, lots of other places have come and gone (well gone from my bookmarks anyway) but kvr has always been a constant. Ten, twelve, thirteen years... whatever it is, in internet years that makes it like a hundred years old in people years. Long may it go.....

Happy Anniversary! Thank you for feeding my addiction and starving my family

Thanks guys!

I've often asked myself where I would go if KVR ever died. I suppose I would check out Gearslutz, but I'm really quite satisfied with KVR and have no desire to leave. :-)
