Thank you, Greg, for not making this Kontakt 5 dependent, for making it a free upgrade for existing customers, and for not requiring users to jump through licensing hoops. Even if this wasn't such a first-rate product I'd still go out of my way to say nice things about you on other forums and in conversations with other recordists.
Others have told me they've already received your email, but so far I have not. When should I be concerned about that?

Greg, what bbaggins said pretty much sums it up! Thanks very much indeed!

You might check your spam folder to see if the email wound up there--I've received a few reports of that. If it's still not there, send me a quick email and I'll get you the download links for the update.bbaggins wrote:Others have told me they've already received your email, but so far I have not. You're still orangetreesamples.com, right? If so, it's on my whitelist. But I'll wait until the end of the day before I cry for help. Anyway, it's probably better to wait until tomorrow or the next day because I'm sure your servers are working overtime right now.

Yes, it's still orangetreesamples.com (the reply-to is "greg AT orangetreesamples"). The emails were sent using MailChimp, which usually has pretty good deliverability and sends out large amounts of emails quickly.bbaggins wrote:You're still orangetreesamples.com, right? That being said, maybe the email got sent to an outdated email address of yours?

I very nearly missed this because it got caught in my gmail spam folder.
But I also got the PR email advertising it, which made it into my inbox. I found the first one after reading the PR mail where it said you already mailed out upgrade links.
No comments yet on the update as I'm still downloading it, but it looks to be amazing.
I'm also in the "haven't moved to k5 yet" camp and the "very surprised and pleased that this is a free update" camp.
Thanks for all your hard work on this product.
Now make one with Strat tones and I'll gladly throw you a few more bills.

That's what I thought... I was just getting my wallet out of my pocket, happy to cough up something, when I realized it's a free updateBERFAB wrote:Wow. I would NEVER have expected a free update for a complete overhaul like this

Yep, I just found the email in my SPAM folder. Just after DrMax's enlarger pills.Gregjazz wrote:You might check your spam folder to see if the email wound up therebbaggins wrote:Others have told me they've already received your email, but so far I have not. When should I be concerned about that?
Fortunately, I also subscribe to the YouTube channel, so found out that way.

Yup, the updated version is completely standalone, so you can remove the previous installation (unless you need to keep it for the sake of archived projects).bbaggins wrote:Greg, is this a cumulative or incremental update? IOW, is it safe to delete the previous installation prior to installing this update?

I haven't had a lot of time to explore the update, but so far it's fantastic. I'm really surprised at how good Kontakt's internal amp sims sound. I've always used an external sim with earlier versions of EEG, so I never gave Kontakt's amps much of a look. Not that I'll quit using my fx plugins (Kontakt doesn't have anything quite like the PSP 608 Multidelay, for example), but I think I may wind up using the presets in the new version of EEG a lot more than I thought I would. Thanks for an awesome update. (And I really like the price!

I hope you'll find falls and slides into notes more convenient using the pitch wheel (with the wheel mode on "Slide"), because it's a lot easier to sequence or play live. That way you don't have to tweak velocities to get the right speed, etc. It also means you can slide entire chords as well.hubble78 wrote: your update is incredible, but I have a question how to make falls before I did that with CC64, how it can work with this update
