Anybody mic'ing up their electric guitar strumming?

You can stick a contact mic on it near the bridge too (Schaller has a cheap one, Schertler has an expensive one. I'm sure there are others too).

You don't get as much pick 'swishing' sounds but you get more string 'jangle'. Basically like having a piezo to blend. Not susceptible to environmental noise either but you need to play with mic placement.
